WP1 - 1st layer

Obtaining a collagen based freeze-dried foam-like structure with a programmed porous structure and porosity depending on the applied parameters of the preparation proces with increased mechanical resistance and relative stability under physiological conditions in vitro.

WP 2 - 2nd layer

Obtaining a hyaluronian based freeze-dried foam-like structure enriched with active compounds and its modification. The application of the surface modification of scaffold which will cause the reduction of the hydrophilicity. Aimed at providing favourable environment to cells and the source of nutrients, as well as activity of the bioactive compounds.

WP 3 – prototype and biological testing

Obtaining a prototype of a 3-layered composite construct aimed at application in skin tissue engineering, which means maintaining the biocompatibility of the construct, adequate stability under physiological conditions, obtaining appropriate physicochemical characteristics of the surface and porous structure and porosity, as well as exhibiting the biological activity by enriching the scaffold with the selected bioactive factors and modification of the surface of scaffold.
